Whales & Whiskey: Fundraiser Party

In support of Whale Week 2.0 in December, "Whales & Whiskey" will be a night of good food, drinks, live auction, and music by DJ [ ] one! Come out and help raise funds and awareness for the NARW!

Family Night with Loop-it-Up

Loop-it-Up will design STEAM curriculum focused on the NARW that will be implemented in several local schools for Whale Week. The Tybee Island Marine Science Center will also participate by displaying artifacts and whale calf replicas. This programming will teach students and their families about the NARW.

Family Night with Tybee Island Maritime Academy

"Whale Alert!" Book Reading with author Angela Kakabeeke

Join us at Live Oak Public Libraries for a special reading of Angela Kakabeeke and Emily Slusher's book, "Whale Alert! Tybee Craddock and the Endangered Right Whale." Angela Kakabeeke will be back in Savannah to read the story of Tybee Craddock and Captain Savannah to us!

Rough Cut Film Screening & Panel Discussion

Film Truth Productions will be screening a rough-cut of “Follow the Journey (working title)," a feature-length documentary that chronicles endangered North Atlantic right whales on their epic journey from their calving grounds off the coast of Georgia and Florida to the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Canada. This rough-cut film premier will be hosted by the film makers along with a panel of experts featured in the film who illuminate the state of these mysterious behemoths existence and uncover challenges that face the species along the way.
